Telehealth FAQ

Telehealth consultation is an over the phone or video chat with your Doctor or GP instead of face to face appointments.

To book for Telehealth consultation please contact our friendly staff on 9981 3111 or click here to book online. Your appointment will be confirmed via sms message.

To prepare for a Telehealth consultation, please ensure you are in a quiet space with a list of issues ready to discuss including medications, or referrals you may require. Your appointment will be in the order of doctor’s appointment book, however allow 1 hour window surrounding your appointment should your Doctor be running late.

All our doctors, nurses, physio, psychologist, and dietician at Dee Why Medical Centre.

Telehealth is for:

  • Care Plans

  • Chronic Disease Management

  • Asthma Action Plan

  • Diabetes cycle of care

  • Mental Health care plans and reviews

  • Referrals, scripts and medical certificates

  • Eating disorder- Treatment and management plan

  • Pregnancy support

  • Autism Management

Face to Face consultations:

  • Vaccination

  • Baby and post natal checks

  • Skin laceration/lesion

  • Any injuiries

  • Driver license renewal

All Australians with a Medicare Card that is an existing patient or been with our practice for more then 12 months can qualify for medicare telehealth consultations.

New patients or patients less then 12 months at the practice will be privately charged for telehealth.
