The flu season is from June to September each year. It is important to take steps now in order to protect yourself and those around you. What is the most effective method to prevent the flu?
The best way to prevent the flu is to get vaccinated. It is the recommended method to proactively combat influenza for everyone 6 months and older.
According to health direct, the immunity is strongest 3 to 4 months after getting the vaccine. It is important to be getting the vaccine as soon as able to keep yourself strong through the upcoming flu season.
Who is able to get the flu vaccine for free?
Those who are considered at high risk are eligible for free influenza vaccines. This includes:
