Dr Pujitha De Silva

MBBS, FRACGP

Portrait of Dr Pujitha De Silva

Dr Pujitha De Silva is an experienced General Practitioner with over 27 years in medicine, including more than 15 years in Australia — much of that time in rural communities, where the local GP is often the first and only port of call. He practises holistic, patient-centred medicine, taking the time to understand the person in front of him rather than treating a presenting complaint in isolation. His interests span general family medicine, skin cancer checks and rashes, mental health care for both adults and adolescents, prenatal and postnatal care, and the long-term management of chronic conditions including diabetes, arthritis and heart disease.

Dr De Silva bulk bills patients who hold a valid Concession Card and children under 16. All other consultations with Dr De Silva are privately billed.

Dr De Silva does not prescribe opioid medications for chronic pain, except where clinically appropriate for cancer-related pain.
